Valley View Medical Center Speech Pathologist in Columbus, Georgia

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech, voice, language, and swallowing disorders. Participates in family training, staff in-services, and multi-disciplinary team meetings. Provides in-services on speech, voice, language and swallowing disorders within the rehab department and to staff in other departments. As do all therapists, serves as a supervisor to clinical support staff whose skills are absolutely necessary for effective and efficient departmental operations.

Minimum Education:

Master's degree required

Graduate of a Program in Speech Language Pathology required

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Basic Life Support (BLS)


Current state license to practice speech therapy

Senior level licensure by the state of Georgia by the Speech Pathology Board and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology

CFY level licensure-eligible and be working towards said certificate
