The Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers’ (GoodwillSR) Retail Specialist is responsible for assisting the Columbus, GA management team with the general oversight of the store’s operations and staff. He/she assists with the training and coaching of

team members to ensure they are trained and capable of performing the required tasks to support business objectives. He/she assists with ensuring that there is both customer and donor satisfaction within the store and that production standards are being enforced

in order to achieve established store revenue goals.

• Assists with ensuring the proper processing and sorting of donations

• Assists with recruiting and selection of new team members

• Assists the Store Manager with scheduling to ensure proper coverage on all shifts

• Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of all store administrative requirements

• Responsible for the proper maintenance, reporting and management of the store’s financial requirements such as, cash register tills, cash deposits, petty cash and the change fund


•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); required

• Minimum two years of completed college coursework in business, management, marketing or a related field coupled with a minimum of two years supervisory experience or

• Minimum three-four years of experience in a retail environment coupled with a minimum of two years supervisory experience
