The Manager of Curriculum & Instruction is responsible for facilitating the successful implementation of curriculum and training programs in the GoodwillSR territory in order to best meet the needs of both our team members and the communities where our career

and training centers are housed. He or she will provide effective training on established programs and center procedures as well as assist with program development and/or program expansion. Overall, the Manager of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible

for the execution of strategic goals and initiatives to support the continued growth and advancement of the GoodwillSR mission of providing quality services to ALL people, whether a GoodwillSR team member or a community- at- larger member.

Essential Functions

  • Manages curriculum and instructional design and development, evaluation and revision of curriculum and instruction and assumes responsibility for the fidelity of implementation of approved instructional programs.

  • Develops, implements and manages the Train-the-Trainer Program, continually evaluating instructors so their efforts will result in their professional growth and contribute to continual program improvement.

  • Facilitates the implementation of curriculum instruction to ensure success of client and instructor performance objectives, employer and workforce development curriculum standards and proficiencies.

  • Designs, coordinates and implements professional development for instructors and support staff.

  • Assesses curriculum and program resources and addresses areas in need of improvement.

  • Mentors, directs and provides on-site instructional support to the Education and Training Managers, Career Center Managers and Instructors.

  • Coordinates instructional and curriculum evaluation and assessment, including the development of assessment resources, analysis of and reporting on client data using Efforts To Outcomes data management system and/or any future LMS systems.

  • Researches instructional programs in alignment with GoodwillSR’s mission and vision and labor market demands to support the academic needs of our client population.

  • Supports the development of an organization wide Instructional Scope and Sequence in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Observes classroom and workplace instruction and client data to ensure instructor effectiveness, in collaboration with Center Managers.

  • Works in collaboration with the Director of Education and Training to develop long-range strategic planning to evaluate instructional programs, instructional materials, digital resources and other instructional materials.

  • Develops and presents budgets related to curriculum and instructional programs, and services in collaboration with Center Managers.

  • Remains current with best instructional practices based on national research and provides guidance to Center Managers and Instructors on research studies impacting instructional outcomes.

  • Provides professional development to instructors, staff and center managers regarding high-impact, research-based instructional strategies.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience

•Masters of Education, preferably with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction or Workforce Education, or related field, from an accredited college or university.

•Minimum of five years successful experience in Curriculum and Instruction or Workforce Education.
