Donaldson Company is seeking an associate-level environmental, health and safety professional who can support our plant operations team in providing a safe, healthy and compliant workplace for our co-workers, visitors and neighbors. We are customer-focused, technology-led global filtration company guided by a new EHS framework which builds upon our existing ISO certifications to provide robust processes and tools that reduce exposure to our most significant environmental aspects and health and safety risks.
Our desired candidate can establish open, candid and trusting relationships to enable ownership of the activities that result in an incident-free, compliant workplace while reducing the site’s environmental footprint. If you have at least three years of experience implementing and maintaining EHS programs in a manufacturing setting with a strong desire to acquire a higher level of knowledge and skills, we would like to hear from you.
Utilizes environmental, health and safety risk assessment tools to identify exposures to health and safety hazards or environmental aspects that can result in harm to people, property, or the environment. Supports the creation of site-level annual, environmental, health and safety targets and objectives to measurably reduce exposure to the site’s most significant health and safety risks and environmental impacts. Facilitates the execution of action-based EHS goals for leadership team members and supervisors to support achievement of site-specific EHS targets and objectives. Implements operational controls required to manage exposures identified through the site’s risk assessment processes. Examples include development of equipment-specific lockout procedures, completion of hot work permits, and management of hazardous wastes. Maintains site-specific compliance assurance processes to facilitate the timely completion of EHS-related compliance, training and preventive maintenance obligations. Facilitates the engagement of employee-directed environmental, health and safety teams in ownership of the activities that enable a compliant, incident-free workplace while reducing the site’s environmental footprint. Conducts employee training as outlined on the site’s EHS Compliance Calendar and conducts make-up training sessions as required. Supports completion of preventive maintenance for EHS-critical equipment and processes and maintains required documentation. Conducts sampling and data collection required to demonstrate compliance with the site’s environmental regulatory requirements.
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 3 years environmental, health and safety management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with an emphasis on program implementation and training.
